Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013!

Well, since the world didn't end I guess it's time to start planning for 2013. But first I have to say goodbye to 2012!

Lots of exciting things have happened this year!
I started this website! Here's my first post ever. I owe many thanks to Justin Barnes for creating my logo, and to Katy and Kevin Doyle for their photography skills. Without the help of my friends I don't know where this website would be!

Another exciting thing happened this year, the Anime Infinity Cowl was in the AllFreeKnitting.com top 100 list!

It's time to do another knit-a-long!

What's a knit-a-long? It's kind of like when you sit and knit with your friends, except you do it online through pictures. Sometimes everyone follows the same pattern, but sometimes not, there's usually a theme to tie everything together. Doesn't it sound like fun?

FO Friday

So I guess for now I'll be sharing all my WIPs and FOs for Warm 'N Fuzzy, a lovely yarn shop where I work and teach.
This is a modified version of Susan B Anderson's Elefante, a wonderful free pattern. I'll be teaching a class on this pattern in October. I think it's so cute! I still need to put eyes on him, but I'm cheating and posting it as an FO.

Anime Infinity

I know I promised that I would finish the short rows tutorial this week with info about how to use short rows. It's coming, I promise. Part of why it's been delayed a bit is because I've been getting new patterns ready to be published!

This pattern is for the Anime Infinity Scarf. This scarf was inspired by the yarn, Anime by ArtFibers, which I received from Brian for Christmas. I received two skeins, and I knit a lacy baktus with the first skein, but then I felt the need to design something special for this beautiful yarn.
